About the role
This newly created role of Quality, Safety and Risk Manager supports and partners with our Enabling and Dementia Centre business units to identify and implement quality improvements; ensures quality frameworks and audit schedules are developed, monitored and maintained; supports business to meet the requirements for Aged Care Services Registrations under the Strengthening Standards and Health and Hospital Accreditation; and monitors and analyses data in relation to incidents and identified risks.
This is a permanent full-time role based at St Leonards with hybrid opportunities.

Key Responsibilities include
Risk Management across Enabling and Dementia Centre portfolios
Contributing to the management of risk and implementation of quality improvements across HammondCare at a strategic level
Reviewing indicators to identify control levelsIdentifying and documenting new and emerging risks and working with Managers
Monitor and analyse data
Conduct internal audits/reviews and provide feedback
Quality Improvement across portfolios
Work with managers to ensure HammondCare are providing the highest standard of care
Facilitate internal review processes against portfolios quality framework and monitor progress
Facilitate regular customer feedback exercises and ensure the results are acted upon.
Play a lead role in the implementation of education program for continuous quality improvement
Accreditation and external assessment and reporting/benchmarking
Work with manager to ensure all services comply with accreditation registration requirement and oversee development of applications for accreditation registration and self-assessment exercises
Work Health & Safety
Partner with Health Safety & Wellbeing Coordinators and others to ensure implementation and maintenance of systems designed to ensure a safe working environment
Provide assistance, support and education to ensure HSW risks are identified and managed appropriately.
As required provide assistance to manager to ensure workplace incidents and Hazards are investigated and root causes are addressed in an achievable and sustainable manner
Ensuring optimum usage of Quality Systems
Partner with the RiskMan (RM) Administrator to ensure that Riskman is meeting the organisations expectations and continues to develop in line with HammondCare's growth and objectives
Ensure incidents, feedback and quality activities are being managed and posted/reviewed on a regular basis
Partner with Internal Policy, Procedure & Document Control Manager to ensure that document control is effective, meeting the organisation's expectations and these systems develop in line with organisation growth
Partner with relevant managers and services across the organisation to ensure our systems are compatible with the business's needs and systems
About You
Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action
At least 3 year's demonstrated experience in a similar role
Strong understanding of continuous quality improvement, quality management and accreditation standards and processes
Demonstrated experience designing, developing and administering audits
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders displaying strong negotiation and influencing skills to obtain a positive outcome
Excellent written skills including diagnosing information/data and report writing using evidence-based practice
Strong administrative and computer skills
Ability to work independently and travel to various sites on a regular basis whilst working as part of a team
Desirable
Understanding of the requirements for Aged Care Services Registration under the Strengthening Standards and Health and Hospitals Accreditation
A relevant health or care related tertiary qualification with experience
Experience and knowledge of Health and/or Residential Aged Care
Experienced in operating effectively in a multi-site environment
Ability to demonstrate a focus on relationship-based care for people with complex needs
