Job Summary: The Insulator/Lagger is responsible for installing and repairing thermal, acoustic and fire insulation on various Defence Industry projects. This role involves working with various insulation materials and following strict installation details to ensure quality assurance and certification. Key Responsibilities: Measure, cut and install various hot and cold insulation materials to fit tanks, vessels and pipes Follow directions as guided by Leading Hand and Supervisors. Apply insulation pins and materials using appropriate methods. Secure insulation via mechanical fastening, bands, wires and adhesives. Inspect and repair existing insulation to ensure it meets safety and efficiency standards. Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements. Operate and maintain insulation tools and equipment. Follow safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. Collaborate with other trades and contractors to complete projects efficiently. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Read and interpret technical drawings. Understand insulation materials and their applications.
