About the role The Officer – Resilience (CaLD) is responsible for supporting and implementing targeted support to individuals, households, and communities from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to ensure they are strong, resilient, and capable of preparing for, responding to, and recovering well from emergencies. The Officer – Resilience (CaLD) both delivers services directly and mobilises the volunteer workforce to achieve service outcomes. This role also works at a state or territory sector level, with guidance from the Senior Officer Resilience, to increase knowledge and understanding of how disasters impact CaLD communities and to promote the importance of preparedness and resilience measures within this target group.
While this role will predominantly be focused on the Resilience and Recovery programs for CaLD communities, the successful applicant will be expected to work within the broader team to ensure an all-of-community resilience approach is being delivered. People who have lived experience of being from refugee or migrant backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
This role will require some intrastate travel to rural and regional communities.

Further information This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4 salary of $85,145.84 FTE + superannuation + salary packaging.
