What you'll be doing As a Social Worker you will support WSLHD Older Peoples Mental Health Service by providing high-quality social work assessments and interventions for older patients in the acute inpatient unit. In this role you will also be responsible for: Providing evidence-based social work assessments and interventions. Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, care planning, and evaluation. Assisting consumers and carers with complex and severe mental illness and aging issues. Delivering high-level services throughout the consumer’s recovery journey. Leading discharge planning and community reintegration. Essential Requirements: Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Social Work Registration: Eligibility for Australian Association of Social Work (AASW) membership. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act 2007 and NSW Trustees and Guardian Act 2009. Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill, and significant clinical experience in in professional and clinical supervision, and support of staff. Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve, apply professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as part of a multidisciplinary team.
