This is a newly created 12-month contract position, based in Melbourne's Southeast with flexible working from home arrangements (5 days per fortnight in office).
About the roleThis 12 month contract role reports to the CFO and Head of Agriculture and willbusiness partner with the Agriculture team. Your role will focus on providing innovative solutions with out of the box thinking to analyse performance and provide recommendations through analysis and problem solving. You will provide accurate and timely insights that enable the team to improve areas of the agriculture process.
Responsibilities:Monthly reporting including forecasting and budgetingPerform moderate to complex cost analysisImprove efficiencies across the agriculture portfolioProvide ongoing business partnering to enable the Agriculture team to achieve financial and operational targetsPlay a key role in the month end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliationsDevelop and implement new processes and efficienciesFocus on financial analysis and financial modellingProvide financial support for productivity initiatives, including allocation, tracking and reporting
About youDegree in Finance and a professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA)Minimum 3 years general business and financial experienceExperience in agriculture, operations, manufacturing or related industry preferred but not essentialExperience with financial modelling and analysisContinuous Improvement: experience identifying areas for continuous improvement and/or cost reductions and making recommendations for enhancementA-grade problem solver with a drive for improving efficienciesCosting analysis experience a must
