The Legal Counsel – Front-End Construction will provide strategic legal advice on major infrastructure and urban development projects. The role requires expertise in construction law, contract negotiation, and risk management, supporting the delivery of landmark projects. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate construction and infrastructure contracts, including EPC, D&C, and PPP agreements. Provide legal guidance on procurement strategies, project structuring, and risk allocation. Advise internal stakeholders on regulatory compliance, project approvals, and construction-related legal issues. Support contract management and dispute avoidance during project delivery. Collaborate with commercial, engineering, and project management teams to ensure legal and commercial alignment. Engage with external counsel, government agencies, and industry bodies as required. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting the construction and infrastructure sector. Key Requirements 3 years PQE with experience in front-end construction law. Strong background in large-scale infrastructure, urban development, or major projects. Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex construction contracts. Knowledge of Australian construction and infrastructure regulations. Ability to provide strategic legal advice in a commercial environment. Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
