This position is based in the Perth, Western Australia area with regular Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) and / or Drive In Drive Out (DIDO) operations at mine sites.ResponsibilitiesAs Autonomous Field Validation Engineer, you will :Integrate, debug, and commission drive-by-wire and autonomy hardwareManage in-production facility and in-field, FIFO, deploying and testing of autonomous vehicle software and dynamic controlsPerform test execution for new firmware, software, or hardwareDeploy software on embedded Linux controllersDevelop test plans and schedulesDevelop test instructions for vehicle operatorsRegular reporting and discussions with NPI development teams to debug issues, provide product improvement suggestionsAnalyze, coordinate, and perform failure analysis activities to identify root cause of customer reported issuesAct independently with minimal supervision to conduct data collection and complete required vehicle performance testsContribute to customer documentation and training material for various software applicationsAssist customers with configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and softwareQualificationsMust-Have :Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experienceExperience with Linux operating systems and IP NetworkingAbility to comply with requirements to travel to mine sites and work FIFOKey Success Factors :Professional, and comfortable with customer facing roleAdaptable to fast changing requirementsProblem-solving abilityFlexibility to support various projectsNice-to-Have :Previous field-follow experienceAutomotive Electrical experienceVector CANape, CANalyzer, CAN hardware tool experienceCAN bus communication and diagnostics experience (J1939)Experience with testing of controls and actuatorsExperience with data acquisition equipment (National Instruments tools, Somat Edaq, etc..)Not sure if you meet all the qualifications for this role?
