Your focus will be on assessing and managing risks through appropriate controls, ensuring alignment with the risk appetite of the Line of Business (LOB), divisional, and Westpac Group, as well as developing risk in change initiatives for BAU processes.You will provide first line-of-defence review and endorsement on project artefacts, ensuring they meet the Transformation Delivery Standard for all new Fraud and Scam project initiatives (both internal and external projects). You will also ensure control optimisation and establish a robust risk in change capability to proactively address potential issues.Furthermore, you will oversee project risk outcomes and simplify the risk and control matrix process managing each effectively. You will also assist in reporting on Risk in Change Governance to the wider Fraud and Scams business unit and Divisional Governance Forums, providing insights and read-across of LOB initiatives for thematic consistency. Additionally, you will support Senior Managers with the transition from project to BAU, ensuring that risks and controls are properly embedded and handed over to the appropriate business units.Other additional responsibilities include:Work with and support divisional governance forums providing insight and key call outsAssist project risk working groups and meetings, ensuring effective stakeholder engagementAssist in ensuring the impact of the change is understood, and that ownership and acknowledgement of the delivered risks and new/modified controls are adhered toEnsure sustainability of the change, and ongoing ownership accountabilities are agreed with the business ownerSupport with managing the scope of the change and impacted processes, and report to the business for development requirementsWhat do I need?To be successful within this role you will need prior risk management and/or risk in change experience within financial services or consulting/professional services. You will ideally have assisted in risk in change initiatives or projects and have knowledge of risks relating to Financial Crime, Fraud and Scams.You must also have demonstrable experience with testing and reviewing risk controls, incidents, and rectifying risk issues.You must also have strong influencing and negotiating skills, strong attention to detail, and presenting skills.
