Salt has partnered with a Managed Service Provider based in Melbourne, now hiring for a Level 2 Service Desk Analyst to join the team full time.
Our partner is a Managed Service Provider delivering IT solutions across cloud transformations, data centres, cyber security, and user devices technology in Australia for over 40 years.
This opportunity is for a L2 Service Desk/Desktop Analyst to join the growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the IT industry, with an eagerness to learn new skills and grow their career with the business long-term. This position is highly suited to an experienced L1 Support Analyst that is ready to make their next step up.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Provide Level 2 support to address escalated hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
* Analyse recurring technical problems and propose long-term solutions to prevent future issues.
* Set up, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and peripherals, ensuring security and functionality.
* Diagnose and resolve problems related to operating systems, network connectivity, Active Directory, and business software.
* Manage user accounts and permissions, conduct system upgrades, and handle software installations and updates for optimal performance.
* Ensure secure user access by maintaining and supporting remote access technologies.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field of study.
* Proven Level 2 support experience, particularly in an MSP environment, with strong expertise in Windows, macOS, Active Directory, and remote desktop tools.
* Skilled in network troubleshooting and proficient in diagnosing and resolving issues with mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
* Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
* Experienced in using ticketing systems for issue tracking and documentation, with attention to detail and quality output.
* Effective problem-solver, process-oriented, and capable of making timely decisions or escalating issues when necessary, even in high-pressure situations.
