About the Role We are seeking a Senior Billing Officer to ensure accurate and timely billing for residents. Working closely with internal stakeholders, this role will be responsible for managing complex billing queries, complaint resolution, financial reconciliations, and process improvements. This position is based in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs and offers a hybrid work arrangement—two days in the office and three days from home. Key Responsibilities Ensure billing processes comply with aged care legislation and reporting obligations. Oversee the distribution of incoming emails via the ticketing system and manage the AR phone queue. Handle complex resident billing queries and provide satisfactory resolutions. Assist with monthly and fortnightly billing runs and audits. Support the Billing Manager with month-end processes, reconciliations, and reporting. Approve weekly RAD refunds as required. Act as a subject matter expert for Epicor system testing. Work alongside the Billing Manager to identify system and process improvements. Assist with data migration for new acquisitions. Maintain strong relationships with Finance, Customer Relations, and Legal teams. What You’ll Bring 5 years of experience in an aged care accounts receivable billing role or similar healthcare environment. Advanced ERP experience required. Epicor experience highly desireable Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills. Experience handling complex resident reconciliations and explaining financial matters to residents or their representatives. Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong analytical skills to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
