About the opportunity:
The Powder Coater is responsible for conducting surface preparation and powder coating of aluminium and steel product lines, working with our MailSafe, BinSafe & GarageSafe product lines.
More specifically you will :
* Maintain good communication with the supervisor of the powder coat area
* Meet the time requirements for production quantities and quality through effective use of equipment and labour
* Ensure that the workspace is safe, clean and uncluttered and plant and equipment is fully maintained.
* Abrasive blasting, stripping and/or solvent cleaning to ensure the surface of products is free of any oils, dirt or rust as required
* Pre-treatment during which the product is treated with a chemical to further protect it and improve the surface for powder coating
* Ensure the quality of the products through visual inspection according to the quality coat Powder Coater
* Ensure that all assigned tasks are produced and completed in full and on time, as directed by Supervisor
* Ensure correct powder coating procedures are followed
* Comply with all safety norms and regulations set by the industry
* Participate actively at the worksite to ensure production and productivity outcomes are met
* Comply with HELP’s Code of Conduct and all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
This is a Full-Time position based at: Eagle Farm
About you:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
* Minimum of two years' experience with powder coating applications
* Must be able to follow strict instructions, work orders and production schedule
* Cert III Surface preparation and Coating application
* Ability to concentrate, multi-task and produce work with minimal errors
* Good attention to details and works well within a team environment
* Current unrestricted Australian Drivers license
