Overview of the role This is a fantastic time to be joining Suncorp as the industry goes through significant change. As a result, we are looking for strong Senior Business Analyst with a solid understanding of Testing/QA. This role will be aligned to the QA Testing POD where you will be across the delivery of work within the POD to assist in communicating the overall tracking to the Scrum Master, Product Owner & Project Delivery Manager. You will also assist in updating fortnightly reporting. You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 290 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing. You will support projects being delivered in a continuous delivery model (Agile) and supporting the platform. What you’ll do: Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesise information accurately, completely, and coherently. Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs. Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable. Create detailed user stories (in JIRA) to support delivery. Work close with squad / project members, including but not limited to Platform Delivery leads, Scrum Master, architects, Developers, Tech Leads, Test Analyst to identify, capture, plan and deliver changes. Mentor/train team members; participate and contribute to business analyst chapter and/or forums providing insights and thought leadership Suncorp offers a hybrid way of working where you will be expected to be in the office approx. 2 days per week. What you’ll bring: Minimum of 5 years’ business analysis experience in a project/delivery orientated role, from a large organisation. Experience working within engineering teams and has the ability to digest quality automation engineering to communicate business case and requirements Past technical project experience working on the tech side not business side Experience driving tangible outcomes and actions in stakeholder meetings with a technical community Strong writing experience inclusive of: SOAPs, presentation packs, comms, analysis Proactive identification and management of RAID Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various stakeholders. Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference. Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines.
