The Cardiac Specialist We are seeking a permanent Staff Specialist Cardiologist to fill a full-time position in Far North Queensland.
Cardiac Services Department
The department consists of two inpatient areas: a 12 bed Cardiac Care Unit and a 12 bed Cardiac Ward, as well as two dedicated cardiac catheterisation laboratories.
The department is committed to providing holistic care for patients with cardiac disease, focusing on value-based healthcare for communities.

Essential Criteria
* Registration as a Specialist Medical Practitioner in Cardiology with the Medical Board of Australia/Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA).
* Fellowship experience in heart failure / multi-modal cardiac imaging – echocardiography (transthoracic, transoesophageal and stress), CT coronary angiography / Cardiac MRI.
* Previous experience in cardiac genetics would be highly regarded.
* Previous experience in a regional or tertiary cardiac centre would be desirable.
Package
Remuneration package includes:
* Salary: $251,527- $266,677 per annum (L25 – L27)
* Salary: $210,332 - $244,313 per annum (L18 – L24)
* Employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%)
* Annual Leave Loading (17.5%)

* Professional Development Leave (3.6 weeks p.a.)
