We need a highly skilled and motivated individual who wants to make a difference to people living with enduring mental illness. You will be working alongside several other Clinical Psychologists to deliver therapeutic interventions such as, but not limited to Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, CBT, individual trauma informed care and other dynamic evidence-based interventions. The service currently provides a DBT program (group and individual therapy) and a Gold Card Clinic. Working within these programs would be an expected part of the role. Previous experience in and knowledge of DBT will be highly regarded. The Clinical Psychologists accept referrals from the care coordination teams as well as the Community Mental Health Emergency Team and work in partnership with the Community Care Coordinator, where one exists, to facilitate joint care planning. We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to work on Mondays and Tuesdays. The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assists in the development and provision of education and training programs. Additionally, the role supervises Psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD according to organisational needs. Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent. Demonstrated competence in a wide range of psychological assessments and evidence based psychological treatments delivered on an individual and/or group basis Demonstrated experience working independently in the provision of patient/consumer-focused care. Demonstrated knowledge of the quality improvement process for service development, implementation and evaluation. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the target audience. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
