Based in Herston, Brisbane and working in close collaboration with clinicians and other research institutes, QIMR Berghofer is home to more than 600 scientists, students and non-research staff.Operating within the Information Technology department, you will work closely with researchers, IT and operations to elicit relevant information used to define requirements, products and processes, and assist in the delivery of projects across QIMR Berghofer with high change impact.Role Purpose / Responsibilities:QIMR Berghofer is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our dynamic IT Department to work across a program of exciting enterprise projects. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology/process solutions, ensuring our systems and processes meet the needs of our researchers and support staff. This is an exciting opportunity to enhance operational efficiency and deliver essential applications to our researchers and support staff.About you:This position will play a key role in defining and executing process change. Stakeholder engagement, influence and planning skills will be highly regarded as each of the projects will improve research governance processes and will require high levels of interaction and facilitation across the organisation.Tertiary qualification or experience in business process mapping with operational stakeholders and identifying opportunities for improvement.Extensive involvement in contributing to the delivery of diverse projects concurrently using contemporary frameworks.Experience working closely with project managers, IT subject matter experts and vendors to plan and manage delivery of the organisation’s IT Strategy initiatives and IT priorities.Experience in business analysis techniques and best practices.Experience in contributions to successful software implementations.Demonstrates strong influencing skills working with stakeholders across an organisation to define and deliver the case for change.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of working in a high risk and regulatory environment impacting scientific operations in a medical research institute.ITIL Certification.Remuneration: Salary range is $103,278 to $112,359 plus super and generous salary packaging.
