The Entertainment Quarter is the iconic entertainment, leisure and retail precinct located just 6 mins from the city and in the heart of the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. With over 4.5 million visitors each year, The Entertainment Quarter has something for everyone and features everything from cinemas, restaurants, bars and cafes, different and exciting retail stores, concert venues, and some of Sydney best leisure outlets and activities for the whole family.
The Entertainment Quarter is situated immediately adjacent to the Sydney Cricket Ground, Allianz Stadium, Disney Studios Australia, The Hordern Pavilion and The Sydney Swans HQ at the Royal Hall of Industries. Our Moore Park precinct is the home of many world-class facilities and organisations within the sporting, entertainment, and broader creative industries. Set up across 11 hectares and largely surrounding the iconic Showring, an exceptional outdoor performance and event space, and the home of weekly and monthly markets. The EQ is also home to two dance schools, The Australian Film and Television School and over 70 retail and commercial tenants.
The site benefits from the major sporting and entertainment events that are held regularly across the entire precinct, while creating our own activations and events to bring in communities from all across Sydney.
The Role:
In a full-time office capacity and working under the Head of Events and Marketing, this role will work across the Marketing and Events at the Entertainment Quarter. This hybrid role works all aspects of the Marketing, Communications and Media for the Precinct and assists with the coordination and implementation of Events and Activations of all sizes that happen across the Entertainment Quarter each year. You bring creative thinking and a collaborative approach to your work in a fast-paced environment.
The Marketing and Communications side covers everything within the brand and marketing the Entertainment Quarter. You will be excited to bring ideas to the role and will be encouraged to lead these ideas and develop them accordingly. You will also take ownership of the public facing communications (across website, socials, EDMs, etc) by creating and implementing exciting content that develops and increases our community reach. The Events side works with the events and activations that bring the fun to the Entertainment Quarter, and you will promote their activations, or assist with logistical implementation of their events within the Entertainment Quarter Events Calendar.
Marketing Duties:
* Support the Marketing and Branding directions and help to plan, execute, and optimise all marketing and communications strategies.
* Collaborate, create, implement, and evaluate marketing and communications activities across all programs and available assets. Create engaging content for our website, social media, and marketing materials.
* Manage and optimise consumer marketing campaigns, collateral and activity across all channels including online, print, tv, radio, digital, social, email, physical in venue, website and more; aligned with the precinct events and marketing plans.
* Create and manage social and digital media content related to current campaigns and look at all opportunities to optimise social growth and retention campaigns.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent brand messaging.
* Community engagement and growth.
* Manage marketing campaign reports and expenditure.
* Manage marketing opportunities available for events and tenant campaigns.
* Ad hoc duties across the Marketing department.
Events Duties:
* Assist with the Coordination of the events and activations at the Entertainment Quarter as directed by the Head of Events and Marketing team lead.
* Provide support in the delivery of all events and activations at the EQ; including setup and promotion across marketing online and in venue promotion.
* Assist on major event days under the direction of the team.
* Meet on a weekly basis with all the Operations teams at the Entertainment Quarter, to ensure consistent understanding of upcoming events.
You will be a great fit if:
* Degree qualified (Marketing, Digital Marketing or Communications) or a specific relevant direct experience.
* Firsthand experience managing social media platforms such as Meta (Facebook/ Instagram), LinkedIn, YouTube; including scheduling, content creation, copywriting, and performance tracking.
* Proficient with design and content creation (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar) is advantageous.
* Familiarity with CRM systems and WordPress or similar CMS.
* Experience in project management and campaign management.
* Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing several projects simultaneously.
* 3 - 4 years’ experience in similar role.
* Strong skills in creating engaging written and visual content for newsletters, social media, and marketing collateral.
* Excellent planning and time management skills, including an ability to handle conflicting deadlines and work with multiple stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
* Be able to work autonomously.
