THE OPPORTUNITY - Carbon Lead With growth now comes the opportunity for a Carbon Lead to drive our carbon advisory business. This rare and exciting opportunity is for an individual who is ready to develop and grow a world leading consulting team. This role would suit an ambitious professional who is ready to step up to the senior business leadership role, with the right sustainability and carbon domain expertise and be eager to lead, actively contribute to business development, and engage directly in client work to drive impactful results. We are looking for someone that has amassed a significant industry network and is an active participant in industry associations and leadership forums. Typically, you will be assigned on project work and have responsibility for developing and maintaining key client relationships. You may have already lead teams and held some P+L responsibilities, whilst managing the profitability of multiple projects and will lead resource planning and business account management. About The Role. Work with and report to the Global Lead of ESG. Collaborate with TSA Riley's ESG leadership team to deliver on the strategic business goals for carbon advisory. Grow project pipeline and manage delivery excellence. Contribute to the thought leadership and business capacity development. Represent carbon at industry collaborations. Lead client project delivery, including hands-on involvement in billable work, while adhering to time and cost constraints. Guide the development and growth of team capabilities. Engage broadly with clients across a variety of forms (e.g. meetings / workshops etc) for data collection, evaluation, reduction and Net Zero planning. Timely delivery of high-quality technical solutions and accurate interpretation of embodied carbon data and compliance with prevailing standards in inventory analysis. Support the team in completing their work by applying your knowledge of proprietary tools used in carbon advisory work. About You. 15+ years' experience in property and construction related carbon and or sustainability. Tertiary qualifications in an industry recognised degree in cost consulting, sustainability, renewable energy, energy/carbon auditing, building or materials science or economics are an advantage. Training or certification in life cycle carbon management, design, engineering or sustainability. Strong business development skills. Ideally you will have one or more of the following NABERS Accreditation, NGERS and or carbon auditing certified, Climate Active certification (or similar), whole-life-carbon competence or Green Building Rating(s). Experience in quantitative assessment and design evaluation. Experience in developing and managing data analysis tools. Excellent report writing and presentation skills. Excellence in the various Microsoft office / Adobe software tools. Experience in Microsoft Access Database is an advantage but not essential.
