FIND PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH
The position of Ganger coordinates onsite day to day resource requirements in order to ensure efficient project/programme delivery. There is also the opportunity to work on high profile Council projects, as well as providing high level support to the Works Supervisor by being the on ground leader.
There are currently two Ganger positions available in Dubbo, NSW.
You’ll make an impact by:
* Organiseing the day to day coordination of plant, labour, materials and resources for allocated projects
* Liaising with clients and the public by responding to requests for information and assistance with works matters
* Undertaking site induction and toolbox with staff and contractors
* Undertaking civil works duties, including, concrete construction, pipe laying such as stormwater, culvert, pits and manholes, pot hole patching, heavy patching and road construction/maintenance
* Setting out site works including use of GPS site control hardware
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
You have excellent time management skills and are able to lead a crew by coordinating the onsite day to day resource requirements in order to ensure an efficient project /programme delivery, but can also be a motivated team member willing to get in and lend a hand. You have previous experience in all aspects of concrete construction including pathways, kerb/gutter and stormwater, as well working in busy, public road environments.
You continually show positive leadership and look for positive ways to contribute to contribute to team culture.
To thrive in this role, you will need:
* Appropriate work related (civil assets) experience
* Supervision skills, including the ability to effectively lead a small team and exercise appropriate verbal communication skills
* MR to HC Drivers licence and plant operator competence in a number of plant items including mechanical aptitude
* General administrative skills demonstrating a competent level of literacy, numeracy, customer service and basic computer skills
* WorkCover construction induction card and Traffic Controller and implement Traffic Control Plans
