This position offers the opportunity to lead independent research using cutting-edge High-Performance Computing (HPC), Direct Numerical Simulations (DNS), Large Eddy Simulations (LES), and a novel experimental setup developed at the University.
As part of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, you will contribute to both research and teaching, enhancing the department's renowned expertise in energy technologies.Your responsibilities will include: Contributing to teaching, training, scientific mentoring and supervision of studentsSupervising junior research staff in the appointee's area of expertiseConducting lectures, tutorials, mark and undertake laboratory duties as required by the Department.
Who We Are Looking ForWe are seeking a motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to driving innovation in energy technologies.
The ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment is essential.You will also have: A PhD in Mechanical, Chemical or Aerospace Engineering, or closely related discipline; with no more than 5 years of experience post-PhDA record of quality research as evidenced by publications in leading journals and at conferences commensurate with opportunityAbility to perform independent research and a commitment to interdisciplinary research For further information regarding responsibilities and requirements, please refer to the attached PD.
