Randstad Data is currently working with a large, Australian-wide organisation to find a fantastic Reporting & Insights Specialist to join their team permanently. This position is responsible for providing insights to the business to optimise business decisions across strategic growth, operations, and portfolio performance. We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, excited to learn and an excellent communicator!
Responsibilities:
1. Use Power BI to understand, interpret, and blend large volumes of data from different sources
2. Use Power BI to build company-wide reports and model data for analysis
3. Using data analytics to generate insights in the areas of customer experience, operations, marketing and team
4. Undertake regular reviews of existing portfolio for demographic, economic and commercial drivers
5. Produce documentation of results and findings, interpret and present back to the business, including to the executive management
6. Providing relevant and accurate analytical review of the Group’s data and key performance metrics
7. Providing comprehensive market, competitor and benchmarking research, assessment and financial analysis
8. Providing financial and strategic analytics to support senior management on operations, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis, marketing campaigns and other projects
9. Work with the rest of the FP&A team in developing the organisations data strategy including data dictionary, data integrity rules, documentation requirements, and master data file management
10. Present information using Power BI to a range of levels in the organisation including executive management
11. Financial planning and key inputs into the budget and forecast process for occupancy & wage costs. This includes analysis of variances to KPI’s vs targets
Necessary Skills:
12. 4+ years’ experience in a similar role
13. High level understanding of data and experience of blending large volumes of data from different sources
14. Prior experience in extracting, integrating, manipulating and displaying data from various systems using automation where possible
15. 2 + years’ Power BI experience
16. Ability to plan and prioritise workload
17. Advanced level of Excel modelling skills
18. Early education sector experience desired
19. Natural curiosity to ask questions of the data and look for insights
20. Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge desired
