APO NT also seeks to strengthen networks between peak Aboriginal organisations and smaller regional Aboriginal organisations in the NT.Salary packaging options up to $18,450 per annum tax free (conditions apply)Remote allowance of $3,300 per annum (if applicable)Annual airfare allowance6 weeks annual leave3 weeks personal leaveAbout the roleSeeking a highly organised and efficient Program Support Officer to provide key administrative support to APO NT staff and the APO NT Governance Group. The successful candidate will assist in the smooth operation of meetings, events, and administrative tasks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and support for our programs and initiatives.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support to staff, including meeting coordination, managing invitee lists, preparing agenda items, taking minutes, and ensuring timely distribution of documents and IT setup.Assist with general office management, including record keeping, maintaining office supplies, and processing office expenses.Serve as the primary contact for program-related inquiries, handling emails, phone calls, and in-person queries.Support the planning and coordination of workshops, forums, and events to ensure successful execution.Help maintain the APO NT website, social media platforms, and media watch services.Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and systems for human resources, finance, IT, and asset management.Selection CriteriaProven experience in providing effective program support, secretariat, and administrative services, including the development and implementation of standard operating practices and procedures.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment and as part of a team.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, work independently, and exercise initiative.Demonstrated experience using MS Office Suite (particularly Teams, Word, and Excel).Satisfactory Criminal History Check and a current Ochre Card, or the ability to obtain one.Qualifications in Administration or relevant experience in a similar role.Knowledge and understanding of the Aboriginal community-controlled sector in the NT.Previous experience working with Aboriginal organisations.How to ApplyPlease submit your resume and a cover letter addressing the key selection criteria.For more information about the position, contact *********@apont.org.au**Applications must be submitted by 22 November 2024**
