About the role The Maintenance Officer will ensure our buildings are maintained for safe and reliable work practices for staff and provide a comfortable living environment for residents. There is a huge variety of things that come our way, some of the tasks that may arise could be: Conduct minor repairs and maintenance to our properties, in all areas including but not limited to; car parks, kitchen, laundry’s, residents' rooms, activity and administration areas. Prioritise work orders through the FMI maintenance request system and complete within specified time frames to meet expected service delivery times and customer expectations. Conduct on-going condition assessments throughout our properties, reporting any damage or faults and recording maintenance and repairs as necessary. Purchasing of supplies and materials within financial delegation and ensure that all tax receipts and invoices are provided and submitted promptly for reconciliation. Maintain and clean tools and equipment to ensure that they are kept in good working order and all damages, loss of theft is reported promptly. Provide assistance to induct contractors and complete associated paperwork as required. Assist with room set-ups and set downs, office relocations and movement of furniture when required. Assisting with emergency procedures as required Ensure plant and equipment is used in a safe manner, tested and tagged, and is in accordance with its intended use including the correct use of PPE. What you will bring: Trade background in either plumbing/electrical/carpentry/Air Conditioning Trade qualification and/or relevant working experience.
