We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to take the top job and truly make it their own. Taking ownership of the day-to-day hotel direction, overseeing all aspects of the hotel's operations, maximizing financial performance, fostering people development and empowering our team to create memorable guest experiences every step along the way.
This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join our team during the pre-opening phase of a new hotel, that will look to be the changing face of the Central Coast. As General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of this critical pre-opening period, ensuring every detail is carefully executed to guarantee a seamless opening of the hotel and provide an outstanding guest experience from day one.
Your day to day
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
* Carefully managing all aspects of the pre-opening phase of the hotel.
* Developing programs and initiatives to increase team engagement and drive progress toward performance and development objectives.
* Leading the team in maintaining compliance with all required brand and service standards, working collaboratively with colleagues to exceed guest expectations.
* Working closely with Human Resources and Department Heads to cultivate a talented team and foster a high-performance culture.
* Collaborating with the Director of Sales & Marketing in building the Sales & Marketing plan.
* Working closely with the Financial Controller in building yearly budgets, P&L analysis and developing strategies that continually achieve EBITDA.
* Leading annual capital, cash flow and sales & marketing plans to accurately forecast budgets.
* Driving revenues, future profitability and maximum return on investment.
* Leading the strategic direction of the precinct to ensure it is positioned as the premier entertainment destination on the Central Coast.
* Maintaining and exceeding market share in all key service and financial metrics.
* Assisting the operations team in maintaining the highest level of efficiencies and customer service.
* Building relationships with guests and external contacts such as current and potential clients, government officials, travel industry representatives, suppliers and local communities.
What we need from you
This role is pivotal to the success of our hotel opening and operation, so we're looking for a talented professional with the perfect blend of strong leadership, operational expertise, and financial and business acumen. In addition, you will possess:
* Bachelor's degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration/Business Administration.
* Minimum 10 years' experience as a General Manager in a 4-5 star hotel environment.
* Experience in Food & Beverage and/or Hotel Operations.
* Must speak fluent English.
