What you’ll do You will be responsible for the development and implementation of actions which deliver on the First Nations Strategic Workforce Framework 2024-2025. In particular, you will: Develop programs and strategies to increase Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander attraction, recruitment, retention, engagement, career development, and success at UniSQ. Collaborate with stakeholders to create pathways to help us grow our own First Nations talent. Help to build the organisation's cultural safety, which supports a sense of belonging for First Nations peoples, histories, and cultures. What will help you succeed Your relevant qualification or experience in a similar professional role and your passion for positively shaping the First Nations employee experience at UniSQ. You will also have: Experience working and communicating sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, including a sound knowledge of both cultures and societies. The ability to show empathy and build rapport with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees and communities. Knowledge of contemporary human resources practices, particularly recruitment, employment, and career development strategies and practices. Highly developed written communication skills, with the ability to write and edit strategic documents, promotional content for the UniSQ jobs website, and practical information for the intranet. Experience in developing, implementing, evaluating, and reporting on projects and initiatives.
