What will your typical day look like?
In this role, you will engage directly with high profile Asset Intensive industry clients on their most important and challenging business issues – understanding, planning and delivering transformation and capital program advisory and execution. You will also:
* Maintain strong relationships and collaborate with business and senior executives to support the successful delivery of assigned project(s) objectives and deliverables.
* Work with and lead a high performing team with a strong commitment to excellence in pursuit of helping our clients drive profitability and performance.
* Lead and coordinate project workstream delivery with a focus on outcomes and impact, shaping and guiding junior staff.
* Provide project management and delivery expertise to support the planning and execution of assigned engagements.
* Draw on Deloitte’s unique capabilities in Structured Problem Solving, Design thinking, Digital, Data Analytics, Deloitte Access Economics, and experience from our global consulting network.
About the team
In the Industrials team, we work with Asset Intensive clients across a variety of business transformation and operational programs aimed at driving productivity and improvement outcomes. We also work with our clients across capital project and program development, delivery and commissioning of assets into operations, asset management and maintenance, redefinition of their supply chains and general/ operations performance management of the broader organisation/enterprise.
We bring our clients on the journey, helping them accelerate and unlock strategic and commercial value as their partners in innovation-led transformation. We can see where they need to go, and work with them to design and implement the path forward, powered by the best emerging and proven technology and analytical insights, to help them get there.

In response to strong client demand for our services, we are seeking a Manager with extensive transformation and capital projects expertise and experience within Asset Intensive industries: Energy & Resources, Transportation, Power & Utilities and Infrastructure to join our team.
You are someone with:
* Demonstrable exposure and experience having worked in Asset Intensive industries
* Minimum 2 years experience in management consulting (ideally in a Big 4 environment or with another leading consulting firm)
* 5+ years experience in the use of structured problem-solving approaches / frameworks
* Experience leading and mentoring teams with a passion to develop others as well as yourself
* Strong program and project delivery expertise, including commercial management
* Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with a range of clients and senior stakeholders
* Strong facilitation skills for large groups of people that are adaptable for different situations and communications styles
* Experience in conducting analysis and synthesising into digestible and insightful outputs (e.g. reports, presentations)
* Experience in contributing to business development and client pursuit activities by preparing proposals and presentations for potential clients
* Curiosity and drive to learn and seek out innovative solutions
