FinXL is seeking a UX Interaction Designer to work with a federal government client on a high-impact digital transformation project. This role involves designing, testing, and evaluating user interactions for digital services, ensuring accessibility, usability, and stakeholder alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply evidence-based, user-centred design (UX) methodologies to improve stakeholder and user experiences.
* Conduct and participate in user research, translating findings into design solutions.
* Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and design assets for usability testing.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accessible and intuitive digital solutions .
* Manage and facilitate design workshops and discussions with stakeholders.
* Contribute to and ensure adherence to UI design frameworks, branding, and governance standards .
* Lead and mentor team members in interaction design best practices .
Skills & Experience Required:
* Strong expertise in UX design, user research, and service design methodologies .
* Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar .
* Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG), usability testing, and UX evaluation techniques .
* Ability to develop and implement design patterns, frameworks, and governance models .
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate design concepts effectively .
* Previous experience in government digital services or large enterprise UX projects is beneficial.
* Must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance .
Work Arrangement & Location:
* Role is based in Canberra (ACT), Adelaide (SA), or Melbourne (VIC).
* Hybrid flexibility (minimum three days in-office per week ).
