About the role:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Laundry Assistant to join our MorningtonAged Care facility on a casual basis. You will be required to work at both locations according to the business needs.
As an Laundry Assistant you will provide quality laundry services for personal clothing that contribute to resident’s comfort, physical appearance and sense of self-esteem in accordance with the recommended processes for each garment andin compliance with the UA standards, Laundry Manual and Infection control
Tasks include:
Ensure residents have the clean, fresh clothes and linen they enjoyed at home
You will make sure everything is labelled and stored correctly
If you find a maintenance issue, you will flag or fix it.
Organised and keen to serve, you appreciate and respond to resident needs by listening and communicating well, whilst ensuring resident privacy and dignity is always maintained.

Experience in a Laundry Assistant role is preferred
Are known for your caring and compassionate nature
Have sound knowledge of OH&S procedures, relevant chemicals and safe work practices
Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision to deliver consistent, resident-focused services
Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BESTway of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)
Available to work at least 2-3 shifts a week

A current Working With Children Check card / Vulnerable People card
Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
Australian working rights
Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
