This is a key role that involves overseeing and facilitating various business-led initiatives and projects, ensuring the secure and effective design, provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure and System Support:
* Provide expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the development of operational management processes and procedures.
* Identify, document, and train the service desk on new project changes, outputs, and processes.
* Respond to incidents and service requests for all IT-supported systems within defined SLAs.
* Manage infrastructure platforms and systems (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, BaaS) proactively on a day-to-day basis.
* Maintain and enhance proactive monitoring systems to ensure optimal performance.
Keep enterprise policy, procedures, and system documentation updated in a comprehensive document library.
Participate in an on-call support roster and be available for work outside standard business hours, as required.
Drive continuous improvement of systems by staying informed about emerging technologies and applying learnings from experience.
Projects
Actively enhance the reliability, efficiency, and security of infrastructure services.
Establish the scope for projects and maintenance activities.
Ensure the effective and secure development, design, and implementation of approved IT projects.
Foster continuous improvement by researching and evaluating new technologies and alternatives within the team.
Cloud Support
Support the daily operations of cloud environments.
Supervise and provide guidance on new services provisioned by the Infrastructure and Development teams, as well as external vendors or suppliers.
Maintain and update cloud documentation, policies, and processes.
Requirements
* 5+ years Systems Engineer or Systems Admin (or similar) technical support role
* Proficiency working on front and back end systems
* Experience working in a dynamic fast-paced environment and delivery of robust solutions
* Understanding of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (Desirable)
* Experience with VMware and Citrix
* Experience with SQL Server
* Experience within a Windows environment
* Experience and advanced understanding of Microsoft Active Directory
* Experience with Entra (Azure AD), and SAML 2.0
* Experience with Microsoft O365
* Experience with Intune (Desirable)
* Experience with Citrix 7.15 (XenApp, PVS, WEM) (Desirable)
