The objective of the position is to contribute to the Court by assisting in the provision of a secure court environment for judges, court employees, and court users.

Period of Appointment Fixed term for three years.
Hours per fortnight Casual ($42.23 per hour).
Duties In accordance with Court Security Act 2017 and any other relevant legislation, provide security services to the Supreme Court by: Screening people attending court and court premises, including conducting searches of personal effects.
Removing people from courts and court premises as directed by judicial and other authorized officers.
Carrying out other duties as directed by judicial and other authorized officers.
Providing court services by: Ensuring the safety and security of Judges, Jurors, and other court users.
Monitoring the behavior of court users to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and court protocols.
Assessing any potential threat to the buildings or court users.
Ensuring court rooms are secure and protecting court files, exhibits, and other materials from unauthorized access.
Providing directions and information to court users, including Jurors.
Providing support to the Sheriff's office, including execution of writs, rules, orders, and warrants.
Providing administrative support to the Supreme Court Registries and acting as Judge's Attendant as required.
Performing other duties within the capacity, qualifications, and experience expected at this classification level.

Driver's Licence.
Appointed Justice of the Peace or willingness to qualify.
Security or court experience.
