We have an ongoing vacancy for a Digital Preservation Coordinator, APS 5, in the Digital Preservation team.
About Digital Preservation
The Digital Preservation team is part of Data Governance and Management section. It is responsible for ensuring the Library’s digital collection material is safe kept and remains usable in the long term, as digital technologies evolve and change.
Digital Preservation coordinates digital preservation activities across the Library to deliver the NLA Digital Preservation Strategic Plan. It is responsible for preparing policies, implementing systems, tools and workflows.
About Digital Preservation Coordinator
The Digital Preservation Coordinator
is responsible for analysing data from the Library’s digital preservation system to identify digital preservation issues and risks, investigating them and proposing and implementing solutions to resolve or mitigate them;
helps to design and implement digital preservation workflows and oversees and assists Library staff with processing digital collection material into the Library’s digital preservation system;
undertakes applied research on file-format support and implements the NLA Digital Preservation Knowledge Base.
