There will be extensive training opportunities within this newly developed role. The In Reach/Outreach/Brief Intervention (IOBI) multidisciplinary team will provide counselling and brief intervention for clients seeking support for AOD concerns and will also provide in reach and outreach services. The In-Reach component will bring the team's community expertise into the hospital care setting. The outreach component will work with individuals with ongoing AOD issues who have had experiences that have impacted them to engage with services. This role will provide an effective Social Work/Counselling/Psychologist service that addresses the psychosocial aspects of care for young people receiving substance use. Demonstrated ability to facilitate interagency meetings to coordinate care planning for complex patients. Demonstrated commitment and highly developed skills in working autonomously and within a team approach, alongside other disciplines and the broader community on alcohol and other drugs issues. Demonstrated ability to participate in and evaluate quality improvement initiatives, research, and service development processes. Demonstrated excellence in verbal, written and computer skills, and ability to manage a significant workload. Current NSW Driver's License and willingness to travel.
