Attraction and Retention Incentive (ARI)An ARI of $17,000 p.a. has been approved and is payable to Dental Officers who are engaged in the Goldfields before 30 June 2025. The ARI is payable in three instalments subject to meeting eligibility requirements.
About This RoleThe Dentist in Charge directs and oversees the operations of the dental clinic and School Dental Service in the Kalgoorlie area. As well as managing staff and maintaining equipment, you will also provide routine and advanced clinical treatment to enrolled patients. You will also develop epidemiological data for the clinical area and initiate relevant community dental care programs aimed at improving dental health in the community by liaison with dentists, service organisations, education and local authorities and relevant community groups.
This role reports to the Regional Dental Officer.

You will have well-developed communication skills and thrive working as part of a small team to deliver high quality oral healthcare, including education.

LocationThis position is based in Kalgoorlie, a mining town rich in history 595km east of Perth, with daily 1 hour flights and connections to Eastern state destinations. Given its wealthy history, Kalgoorlie has some of the most elaborate heritage buildings that have been retained and is home of the iconic Broken Hill Hotel and more. The climate lends itself to exploring the bushland and neighbouring mining communities year-round.
