About the Role
The Program Deliverer is responsible for delivering approved programs to youth in a detention centre, as scheduled.
Staff will assist in delivering various programs as required and work collaboratively with the Programs Team.
The team consists of multiple staff members who specialise in different areas of program delivery, including Change Orientated, Recreational, Therapeutic, and Sport programs.
The overall goal is to reduce reoffending behaviours in young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate cultural capability and/or commit to developing it to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with human rights and supports departmental programs and community partnerships.
* Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate programs to address the health and wellbeing of young people in detention, aiding in their reintegration and rehabilitation.
* Provide appropriate resources, language, role modelling, and information to support the learning needs of young people.
* Ensure programs align with the philosophy and purpose of youth detention and interface with centre operations.
* Liaise effectively with operational and other youth detention centre staff regarding program delivery.
* Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, and correspondence as required.
* Oversee stock movement and inventory of program resources according to centre practice.
* Maintain safety and security requirements in accordance with centre policies and procedures, as well as workplace health and safety legislation.
* Maintain records of program attendance and participation through manual and automated processes.
* Participate productively and collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in delivering programs and services to clients.
