We are currently seeking a Control Systems Engineer who will be responsible for process automation design and software development related to Metso BMH Engineering for product development and customer project delivery.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
* Engineering design and development which will typically include preparation of design or development specifications.
* PLC, HMI, and SCADA Development.
* Develop and maintain Metso standard product portfolio according to the product roadmap and develop specific solutions for our customers.
* Work as part of a team of Control System Engineers.
WHO YOU ARE:
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Bachelor of Engineering or technology in Electrical / Electronics / Electronics and telecommunication / Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent with a minimum experience of 2 years, a preferred experience of 5 years.
* Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills are required as this role will have frequent interactions with internal / external customers, and suppliers while supporting product development and customer projects.
* Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of industrial process control design, network architecture, and MES/ERP integrations.
* Proficiency in PLC programming, SCADA, and APC systems.
* PLC development in Rockwell/GE platforms.
* Development and implementation of industrial fieldbus protocols.
* Configuring and troubleshooting industrial control systems and industrial instrumentation.
* Factory Acceptance Testing.
* Bulk material handling process experience.
* SQL development for industrial integration.
* Siemens/Rockwell variable speed drive design and commissioning.
* InTouch, Cimplicity, Factory Talk View SCADA development.
* Designing process automation solutions for OEM equipment.
* Project management.
* Functional Safety.
* ABB variable speed drive design and commissioning.
* Plant Historians and Databases.
* Engineers Australia membership (or eligible).
