About the Position:The Victorian Family Preservation and Reunification Response (FPRR) is a funded initiative by the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing.Co-designed with sector representatives, FPRR was implemented in 2020-21 across 9 regions throughout Victoria by MacKillop and other registered children and family service providers.This innovative service provides early intervention support to families with 0–17-year-old children and young people, aiming to keep families together safely and decrease the risk of children entering or re-entering care.FPRR integrates and builds on existing child and family services within the broader system, delivering an enhanced continuum of care across the State.MacKillop has partnered with Monash University to evaluate outcomes and continuously enhance the FPRR evidence-base for Victorian child and family services.The Evidence-Based Model – Multisystemic Therapy – Psychiatric (MSTP) has been implemented in metro regions to focus on families with 9 – 17-year-old young people.MSTP combines intensive mental health and substance abuse treatment with systemic family practice to provide clinical therapeutic support to young people and their families.A psychiatric assessment and consultation are available to families one day per week, while MST Services provides weekly telephone consultation with the team and supervisor.Therapists work with small caseloads to visit families up to three times per week, with 24/7 crisis response also available if needed.This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity based in South Melbourne, VIC within our FPR Response / Clinical Services program.Key Responsibilities:Implement interventions within or between systems that affect youth behavior, including family, peer, school, and neighbourhood environments.Deliver trauma treatment for adults and children using exposure, cognitive therapies, and stress inoculation training.Provide individual therapy with children and adults using cognitive behavioral techniques.Conduct behavioral therapy targeting behavioral change in children at home and school.Requirements:Bachelor's degree and work experience in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or a related subject area. A Master's degree is preferred.Valid and current Driver's Licence;Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);Valid Employee Working with Children Check;Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk-assessed/client-facing roles).Our Commitment:MacKillop celebrates diversity and respects every person's dignity.
