This is an opportunity within a large Local Council for a Project Manager to join the Planning team. Be apart of a collaborative and positive team. Local council offers flexible start and finish times, work from home days, and 38 hours per week.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Project Manager, you will have a broader team of consultants and external contractors, and be responsible for managing the planning phase of major infrastructure projects. You will ensure that the contracts and service agreements with contractors are managed under best practice principles and within specified timeframes and budget allocation. In this role you will best develop and maintain collaborative work relationships with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders and contractors. You will also be a representative for both Council's Project Control Group and Project Management Group.
DUTIES
* Undertake site selection for sea water and transfer infrastructure
* Develop project briefs, specifications and tender documents
* Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement
* Develop a scheme concept design and obtain planning approvals
* Manage project team resources and prepare reports
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Relevant qualifications in Construction/Project Management (or similar)
* Great communication & customer service skills
* Exposure in the delivery of major infrastructure and water treatment projects
* Previous experience in Local Government is highly desirable
