Exceptional Opportunity in Youth Work
As a Youth Worker, you will create a secure and nurturing haven for children and young individuals in need. Under the guidance of the Case Manager, you will provide essential care, empowering youths with challenging behaviours through engaging activities and structured routines that foster vital life skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create a safe and supportive environment for young people
• Provide individualised support and care to each child or young person
• Develop and implement tailored plans to address specific needs and goals
• Collaborate with Case Managers and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance practice
Requirements:
• Certificate IV in Child Youth Family Intervention (Residential Carer) or equivalent
• Experience working with 'at risk' youth or willingness to undergo studies
• Previous experience in trauma-informed practice highly regarded
• Sound knowledge of services to youth, child and family welfare, and child protection processes
