Senior Manager, Regulatory Governance Credit Risk Permanent Full-time position Sydney or Melbourne based Hybrid working model How will I help? In this key 2nd Line role, you will be directly reporting to the Executive Manager (Prudential and Provisioning Governance). You will provide support and consolidated governance for credit risk management and large exposure prudential standards, and work as the SME for prudential governance and interpretation. Some of the key accountabilities are: Supporting Westpac in the management of our regulatory requirements and provide interpretation to APRA's s credit related prudential standards Working as a SME within the team to review proposed changes to regulatory interpretations of the credit standards and provide a view to senior management for decision making. Assisting in interpreting and implementing prudential regulations, including Credit Risk Management, Large Exposures, and Basel III, to ensure adherence to credit and credit risk capital requirements. Engaging with stakeholders across the business who have responsibilities/accountabilities across the whole credit risk lifecycle, from origination to write-off, to ensure effective understanding of the obligations and processes, and alignment with internal interpretations of the prudential standards. Ownership of Westpac’s interpretation register for the in scope prudential standards and management of the pipeline for internal prudential changes which require APRA notification and approval. Supporting annual prudential attestations, prudential assurance reviews, internal audits and engagement with the external auditor on the annual APS 310 Audit. What’s in it for me? Substantial experience in Credit Risk within the financial services industry (Essential). Experience in Credit Risk capital regulations specifically APHRA (Preferred) Experience with identifying and managing credit related issues. Working knowledge of credit risk management system and processes. Excellent stakeholder management skills What’s it like to work there?
