What you’ll be doing Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Industrial Mechanical Fitter will work from planned work schedules from the Electrical and Mechanical Team Leaders on a daily basis and follow weekly scheduled tasks for planned works. They will be taking routine calls to breakdown’s, repairs and safety works and execute in a timely manner while working safely and be responsible for communicating once works have been completed in a timely manner to the Team Leaders and Production Team. Key Responsibilities Ensuring all scheduled planned preventative and maintenance tasks are completed on time and in a professional manner. Working within a team environment Efficiently and effectively identifying and rectifying machine faults. Complete work instructions and check lists prior to production to ensure machinery is in working order. Supporting and assisting staff and Maintenance Technicians as required Ensuring all preventative and maintenance activities are logged and reported in accordance with the appropriate reporting procedure. Monitor the spares used and advise accordingly for re-order through Maintenance System. Ensure Maintenance House keeping standards are always adhered to. Adhere to safe work practices and take steps to identify hazards and report incidents. Adhere to the Prysmian Groups WHSE policies and procedures. Carry out planned maintenance and continuous improvements to enhance plant reliability Supervise and train apprentices in correct and safe work practices, and mechanical principles What you’ll need: Skills and Competencies Competent in arc / mig welding and oxy Ability to use lathe and milling machines Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems Fault finding mechanical breakdowns on industrial plant equipment Experience: Manufacturing / Process experience in an industrial environment Working on light to heavy production equipment.
