About the Role As the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the management, leadership, and continuity of care across the Acute, Emergency Department (ED), Renal, and Chemotherapy Units at Clare Hospital. Working alongside other nurse unit managers, you’ll play a key role in clinical service planning, staff development, and service improvement initiatives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our community. Key Responsibilities : Lead and support the nursing teams in Acute, ED, Renal, and Chemotherapy services, ensuring excellent patient care and staff performance. Collaborate with the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager for Perioperative Services and the Nurse Unit Manager for Aged Care to enhance clinical service delivery. Contribute to service planning and development, driving continuous improvement and service quality. Foster a culture of professional development and clinical excellence within your units. Essential Criteria Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. OR Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Registered Nurse and or Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience. Experience in management and leadership roles Experience in the supervision of students, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses and or midwives. Experience in the use of computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
