Job Title: Sous Chef

As an integral part of our Food and Beverage team, the Sous Chef will be responsible for supporting and managing the kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary service to our patrons.

Our well-established, high-volume kitchen is award-winning on the Gold Coast. With continued expansion and improvement of our venue, we are seeking a talented Sous Chef to maintain our high standard of service.
The Role
The Sous Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, including menu design, costings, budgets, and compliance. This role requires a strong leader who can assist the Head Chef in maintaining quality standards and ensuring seamless delivery of lunch and dinner services seven days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality menu items with extensive culinary experience
* Assist the Head Chef in menu design, costings, budgets, and compliance
* Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef, overseeing rostering, ordering, monitoring, and maintaining control over COGS and budgeting
* Ensure adherence to all Food Safety policies and procedures
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will possess relevant qualifications in kitchen operations and food safety, as well as proven experience in Al a Carte dining, leading and managing a team, ordering and stocktaking, and budget management. You must also demonstrate great time management, calmness under pressure, integrity, honesty, and empathy.
