Following the significant success of Scolmore Group's Elucian range since its entry into the consumer unit market in 2021, we are investing in a dedicated sales team. This has led to an Area Sales Manager position becoming available for the North East region.
The primary focus of this role will be to develop and grow new business opportunities that will form part of a portfolio of accounts. This requires an excellent understanding of the marketplace, customer requirements, and working in partnership with internal and external teams to build growth, retention, and long-term relationships and solutions for customers.
Main Duties:
* Territory sales role selling Elucian products via distributors in your region (Push/Pull role).
* Sales out activity by way of pro-active support to new and existing distributors via joint sales calls, trade counter & networking events, product training, and demonstrations.
* Proactively build client relationships and maintain a strong pipeline.
* Presentation and gaining agreement from the customer to ensure they see our approach as added value, supporting both customer and commercial requirements.
* Work proactively with your portfolio, using reports and information to keep the customer up to date, ensuring you get the most from visits and calls, maintaining CRM records at all times.
* Working simultaneously with your team and internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* A proven sales professional operating at high-value account level.
* Focused on identifying opportunities with both existing and new accounts and developing those opportunities within set parameters of Scolmore's Commercial trading philosophy.
* Knowledge of marketplaces or experience of similar markets.
* Highly developed selling skills with excellent communication, both F2F and written, with interpersonal skills.
* High levels of energy, commitment, and tenacity with a strong understanding of the sales process and large accounts processes and buying behaviours.
* Computer literate with the ability to use Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
* Ability to work independently, planning diary and working autonomously within your defined role.
* A full and preferably clean driving licence is required for this role.
Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum
