With a dedicated team and a strong reputation for quality workmanship, we are currently looking for a qualified Bricklayer to join our growing team.
Position Overview Bricklayers at OZ BRICK PTY LTD are responsible for constructing and repairing walls, partitions, paving, arches, and other structures using bricks, pre-cut stones, and other types of building blocks.
This role also involves working with both hard and soft stone for construction and renovation projects.
Key Responsibilities Interpret construction plans and specifications to determine materials, measurements, and installation methods Set up and dismantle restricted height scaffolding as needed Prepare foundations with damp-resistant materials and apply mortar as a base for laying blocks Lay bricks in rows, patterns, or decorative designs, applying mortar between joints Embed blocks in mortar and ensure excess mortar is removed Check vertical and horizontal alignment of work using levels and other tools Cut, shape, and polish stones and bricks using hand tools or machinery Repair and maintain masonry structures Design and inscribe monumental masonry when required Construct walls using large masonry slabs or stone blocks Cut, polish, and install stone kitchen benchtops May prepare base and bedding course and install segmental paving Qualifications and Skills AQF Certificate III (including at least 3 years of on-the-job training), or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) Proven experience in bricklaying and masonry Strong knowledge of Australian construction and safety standards Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings Physical fitness and ability to work in various environments Benefits Competitive annual salary: $75,000 – $80,000 Stable, full-time employment Opportunities for professional development Supportive and skilled team environment Long-term career growth opportunities To Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and qualifications through this job post.
