Are you a seasoned Project Manager with a passion for leading challenging projects in the heavy industry sector? Sulzer Australia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive success across our diverse product lines within the Field Services team.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring excellence in execution and stakeholder satisfaction. Your duties include:
1. Managing projects from contract handover to closeout.
2. Coordinating resources, third parties, and vendors.
3. Participating in the project gate review process.
4. Delivering projects safely, on time, within scope, budget, and quality standards.
5. Collaborating with internal teams including engineering, project controls, and QESH.
6. Ensuring resource availability and allocation.
7. Managing scope, schedule, and costs through verification techniques (CMR process).
8. Monitoring project performance using company systems and tools.
9. Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
10. Conducting risk management to identify, mitigate, and address project risks.
11. Preparing for and participating in monthly project reviews.
12. Supporting estimations and tender processes for new opportunities.
What You Bring
* Qualification in engineering or extensive site experience in a lead supervisory role.
* 10+ years' experience in heavy industry, specialising in rotating plant (ideally turbines or electric motor experience).
* Expertise in cost control, reporting, and project delivery.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Effective negotiation skills and contract understanding.
* Experience with estimating, contracts, and tenders.
* Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
