The Employer: Our clients operate a forward-thinking and progressive operation across 3200 hectares in the stunning Southern Riverina region. This dynamic farm specialises in both irrigated summer and winter cropping, cultivating crops such as rice, wheat, barley, canola, and faba beans. Utilising flood irrigation and overhead spray systems, the property is equipped with modern John Deere machinery and trucks to ensure optimal productivity. In addition to cropping, the farm also manages a flock of 750 ewes, primarily focused on producing first-cross lambs. Although livestock plays a role in the operations, the primary emphasis remains on cropping, with around 300 hectares dedicated to rice and 1200-1400 hectares to winter crops, all irrigated. Currently, the team consists of two full-time employees. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative team environment, tackling all aspects of operating a progressive irrigation enterprise. Key responsibilities will include: Paddock irrigation (flood and overhead spray) Operating and maintaining machinery and trucks for all aspects of the cropping cycle Carrying out various livestock duties when necessary You will work directly with and report to a hands-on manager/owner. While experience in this field is preferred, training will be provided for the right candidate who shows potential and eagerness to learn.
