We are seeking an experienced Accounts Clerk to join our team at Nextra Cairns Central in Cairns, QLD. This full-time role will be responsible for maintaining our financial records and supporting the wider business operations.
What you'll be doing
1. Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
2. Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts
3. Preparing and issuing invoices and statements to customers
4. Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting requirements
5. Providing administrative support to the finance team as needed
6. Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures
What we're looking for
1. Minimum 2 years' experience as an Accounts Clerk or similar financial administrative role
2. AQF Certificate II or III in relevant qualification
3. Strong numeracy and attention to detail skills
4. Proficiency in using accounting software, such as MYOB or Xero
5. Excellent communication and customer service skills
6. Ability to work well in a team and independently
7. Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
