Job Title: Assistant Director
ASIO is seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Director to join the Network Services Directorate leadership team.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading and enabling a team of technical officers in the development and sustainment of mission-critical technical capabilities across Enterprise Networking and Unified Communications.
This role is critical in delivering on strategic initiatives, supporting the deployment of next-generation networking capabilities and positioning the organisation to meet future requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership and support to technical officers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
* Coordinate the delivery of Network Services projects in partnership with the Directorate's senior officers.
* Project Management: Identify, manage, and coordinate work packages on a day-to-day basis, allocating technical resources to meet business needs in a timely manner.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with all levels across the Organisation, the National Intelligence Community, and international partners to deliver strategically important projects.
* Procurement and Contract Management: Provide support to the Directorate's procurement and contract management activities through engagement with internal stakeholders and industry partners.
* Project Planning and Development: Contribute to the development of project submissions, including planning resources, schedules, and budgets.

Requirements:
* Experience in leading and managing ICT teams and the coordination and prioritisation of effort to achieve mission critical outcomes.
* Good knowledge of and experience in Australian Government procurement, budgeting and contract management principles.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a collaborative and supportive mindset.
* Strong interpersonal and liaison skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the Organisation.
* Effective and flexible work prioritisation skills, including the ability to maintain a forward work program and coordinate multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in information technology, computer science or related disciplines are advantageous.

The position is located in Canberra, with relocation assistance provided where required.
