This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, innovative team advancing the frontiers of biotechnology.In this pivotal role, you’ll manage high-level administrative tasks, including complex diary coordination, travel arrangements, and the preparation of meeting documents. You’ll also play a central role in supporting Centre-wide projects and events, such as our annual workshop and flagship project reviews, ensuring each event’s success and fostering collaboration across the Centre.As the primary point of contact for the Centre Director, you will apply your excellent organisational skills, sound judgment, and diplomatic approach to manage a diverse range of activities and prioritise matters effectively. If you thrive in a high-energy setting and enjoy the challenge of managing diverse tasks, we’d love to hear from you.Key responsibilities will include:Executive SupportProvide high-level administrative support to the Centre Director and COO, including efficient diary and travel management, itinerary planning, and preparation of meeting documents.Preparing meeting papers as well as ensuring diplomatic and sensitive handling of requests and exercising judgement regarding the urgency of these requests.Providing secretariat support to the Centre’s advisory boards and committees.Event ManagementUnder the guidance of the COO and in collaboration with the Translational Research Program Manager, organize and execute Centre-wide events, including the Annual Conference, Chief Investigator Workshops, and various industry and roundtable events.Coordinate all contract and financial approvals associated with Centre events.Relationship ManagementUphold and maintain appropriate standards/protocols for communication across all Nodes of the Centre, and use initiative and judgement to effectively liaise with external organisations on a broad range of matters of relevance to the Centre Director and Chief Operating Officer.Project ManagementPrepare and review project reports, briefs and correspondence, and manage project financials in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.About UQAs part of the UQ community, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the brightest minds, who have joined us from all over the world.Everyone here has a role to play.
