ABOUT THE ROLE
The Truss & Frame Branch Manager of our manufacturing plant will lead, coach and mentor a group of highly skilled individuals across the plant, including our administration, design, production, yard and logistics teams. Your focus will be to ensure that the heart of the operation, which is the truss and frame production, is operating to high standards to meet customer schedules. You will ensure delivery schedules are met and exceeded daily and your customers are always kept informed regarding their delivery status.
You will report directly to the Regional Manager who will provide support, coaching and mentoring to see you grow the business to its full potential. Relationship building and keeping those relationships alive is pivotal to this role. The key to success is that we offer unrivalled service and products to our many customers who rely on us for quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
* Ensuring the manufacturing plant is operating to high degrees, including the delivery of quality product, service, sales and exceeding profits
* Focusing on efficiency and ensuring you meet customer expectations
* Overseeing stock inventory management, monthly reporting and annual regular forecasting
* Planning and preparing rosters to ensure adequate coverage and service levels during manufacturing times
* Measuring and proactively managing production output daily
* Creating and implementing processes and strategies for improving the overall performance of the plant
* Managing branch operations, administration and reporting requirements
* Planning, developing and implementing strategies to achieve budgets, targets and objectives
* Driving and managing a high performing team, committed to providing outstanding customer service
* Building trusting relationships with key customers and understanding their businesses
* Building strong relationships with our sales teams
* Ensuring high safety standards are maintained and a strong safety culture is prioritised.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
* Previous industry experience in manufacturing, trade/retail, hardware, or a similar environment will be highly desirable although not essential
* Excellent negotiation and influencing skills and be commercially astute
* Strong, positive relationship building abilities with internal and external customers
* Excellent written and oral communication skills with high level attention to detail and accuracy
* Medium level Microsoft Excel skills would be highly beneficial
* Demonstrated ability to resolve issues in a positive manner through negotiation and consultation with other team members and stakeholders
* Team player – build a culture and structure – a true leader
* Someone who can lead, motivate and influence
* High awareness of site safety and duty of care for your team, staff and site visitors
* Finally, have a ‘hands on’ approach with a 'can do' attitude
