FindStaff is seeking an experienced Project Site Supervisor for our client, a leading provider of mechanical & electrical services in NSW.
About the role
Due to huge growth within the business, we are looking for a talented and professional Project Site Supervisor to join our team based near Orange, NSW. You will supervise a team of 3-5 and monitor infrastructure projects such as water, sewer & minor rehabilitation work, using industry-leading technology and processes.

Projects range across a number of exciting clients and locations, so there’s always an opportunity to learn new skills and bolster your project range – We need you to drive the projects every step of the way. This could include:
1. Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications
2. Monitor construction progress for adherence to program and report to the Project Manager
3. Contribute to improvements to existing designs
4. Determine and create quality control inspection points and utilise checklists
5. Participate in the preparation of SWMS in consultation with the work group carrying the proposed activity
6. Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions
7. Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports
8. Control schedule and all inputs and outputs for the management of an area of work. Implement prompt corrective action and reporting if targets are not being achieved
9. Track costs for labour and plant, verify quantities of work completed for subcontractor claims and verify receipt of goods/deliveries
10. Encourage commitment from project team members ‘by-example’ in how to be a valued team member, through ‘Care-Factor’ implementation.
About you
To succeed in this role you will hold a qualification in Civil Engineering or minimum, Certificate 4 in Civil Construction, plus 10 years’ hands-on experience in this industry. You will be experienced in complex civil engineering projects, with heavy exposure to water & sewer infrastructure. Knowledge and experience in electrical, mining, rail or similar is advantageous. You will have expert knowledge of project supervisory principles, and a verifiable track record with supervising similar projects within the civil sector, plus detailed task experience is favourable in concreting construction works for pump wells, valve pits and manholes, valving, automation, excavations, pumping systems of bore / pressure / transfer systems, pipeworks, pressure & vacuum testing, coreholing.
We would like you to have 5+ years’ experience in construction site Supervisory roles for earthworks / civil works / infrastructure projects and familiarity with Management Systems.
You will have excellent communication skills – able to explain things, convey messages, ask relevant questions, and avoid or resolve conflicts effectively. You must be a forward thinker and be able to take charge and drive the job efficiently. A genuine commitment to strong WH&S culture and values is essential.
